I'm a man from Sydney who has been to one too many weddings with less than stellar speeches. Too often we see people wasting an opportunity to embrace a wedding speech, with a boring series of thank yous and cliches. I want to help change that.
I love and hate public speaking - I hate it because it scares the hell out of me, like most people, but love it for the adrenaline rush it can create, the awesome sensation of being able to captivate an audience and mostly, for having a platform to communicate something, a story, a feeling, to many many people at once. It's a rare opportunity that I believe is taken for granted far too often.
A little background on me - I'm an Australian of Maltese descent and an actor, having trained in theatre, film and vocally with some of the best in the world, in Sydney, New York and Los Angeles. The training I received in acting has helped develop my own public speaking skills, but also enabled me to help others with theirs, and the natural progression of things led to this.
In 2013 I had the chance to speak at my own wedding, in Santorini, Greece. It was a moment of my life I had looked forward to for so long, and I cherished every second up on that stage.
I'd like for you to experience that same feeling.
